2025 Region VI Concert Assessment

Welcome

On behalf of the Bentonville School District, we would like to welcome each of you to Bentonville West High School! We invite students, administrators, and all others to watch and enjoy the bands throughout the day. Admission is free! Saturday bands will be hosted by Harrison High School at the Harrison High School Performing Arts Center.

Logistics

All school buses and EQ trucks should enter from the Seba Rd. entrance and park as far south as possible as indicated in the photo below. A loading dock is available if you wish to load and unload backstage. This is primarily for those who wish to bring their own percussion equipment. A selection of standard percussion equipment will be provided on stage for all ensembles to use. We will not supply mallets or sticks of any kind unless noted. If you are planning to bring your own large percussion equipment and need to utilize the loading dock, please let me know asap: aortiz@bentonvillek12.org, Cell: 956.292.1155

ALL BANDS Please drop your Band Set-Up in the Google Drive HERE.

When you submit your file please have the following information:

Band - Performance Time - Director Last Name

Example: Bentonville West Wind Ensemble - 8:00PM - Ortiz

I recommend https://www.bgreco.net/band/ to create a set-up sheet but feel free to use whatever format you like.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY BANDS Fill out the Percussion Needs Form HERE. (Saturday Groups Email Josh Bradford regarding needs)

Check-In, Holding/Case Storage

The Performing Arts Center Lobby will be where directors can check in their ensembles, turn in/fill out important forms, and receive their rating sheets. The Choir Room will be utilized for case storage for those who need it. You may hold your students in this area until your warm-up time. If you are utilizing the loading dock for large equipment, please have your student or parent helpers available to unload your equipment during this time.

Band Warm-Up

Your band will be escorted to the Blackbox room for warm-up. There will be NO percussion equipment provided in the band warm-up area. Your percussionists should stay with the group until they are asked to head to the stage to begin set-up. Your band will be escorted back to the lobby/Choir Room to gather items and cases after your performance. We encourage all groups to return and watch other bands after loading your equipment.

Sightreading
