Band Feeds

Football games and contests will be here before we know it. Our Student Services chairperson, Julie Riffe, will need several helpers for Band Feeds. From picking up food orders to passing out meals, it takes a village to keep our band members fed. If you’d like to help with the Band Feed team, please email studentservices@wolverinebandboosters.com to let Julie know!

Band Yearbook Photos: LAST CHANCE

If you are in the Color Guard or you missed the previous two portrait days, the last chance to have your picture taken for the band yearbook will be immediately after school on Tuesday, 8/29 in the uniform room. The photographer will be set up from 4:00-5:30. Be sure to provide your parents’ contact information for portrait and button ordering information. An email will go out to everyone as soon as the portraits are ready to view.

Pre-Contest Family Meeting on 9/26

Our next band family meeting will be Tuesday, September 26th, at 6:30 in the band hall. We will be sure to cover upcoming season information as our first contest will be that Saturday. All new and freshman parents are highly encouraged to attend. After the meeting, parents can walk to the football stadium to watch the remainder of their student’s marching practice.

 What should your band student have on contest days? Here are a few important things to remember:

·       Instrument and music

·       Uniform with gloves

·       Black socks, black socks, and more black socks

·       Deodorant

·       Portable chargers for their cell phone

·       Cash and a debit card (some venues only accept one or the other) if they plan to make extra purchases at the contest venue

 

RoundUp Program

Walmart is currently matching RoundUp donations 2-to-1 through September 4th when you shop online at Walmart.com for grocery and pickup orders. Simply select Wolverine Band Boosters and round up your change at each purchase.

Logistics, Props & Pit Crew

Thank you to everyone who came out during this past prop workday and made it a huge success! Our Operations chairperson, Kendall Rush, needs several strong and abled bodies to assist with logistics, prop assembly, and pushing pit equipment at contests and games. Midnight Regiment Invitational Marching Contest: 10/14/23

We will be hosting our first-ever invitational marching contest on October 14th. Everyone’s help is needed at this event. Please reserve this date on your calendar. Signups coming soon!

Band Fees are PAST Due

Concessions Signups and Account Credits

COMING SOON: Earn $25 toward your student’s program fees when you work a paid event at the concession stand. Paid event slots are limited, so sign up early and be sure to select the specific slot on the signup page. You must sign up for these paid shifts in advance, as walk-in volunteers aren’t guaranteed to be paid and must be approved by the stand manager; there is a limit of two family members per event. Credits will be applied to the student’s account for current or future seasons given you have signed the attendance sheet at the stand. If you are a Walmart/Sam’s associate and sign up for a paid shift, you cannot apply for VAP hours for that shift. For additional information or questions about your child’s program account, please check Charms or contact treasurer@wolverinebandboosters.com.

Band Store Deliveries

If you ordered items from the band store, they will be distributed during the first week of September. Limited show shirts are still available for purchase through the band store.

There's still time to become a sponsor of the BWHS band! Invitational and Battalion Sponsors get their logo on our Semi Trailer when they donate by 9/1. We're also extending our deadline for Diamond Sponsors and up to be featured on our concessions ads during games.
